Backup controlfile

You add a datafile, you backup your controlfile. It’s that simple….

/dba/rman/bin/backup_controlfile contains:
run {
     backup current controlfile
     tag ''
     format 'hotincr0_ctrfile_tsm_tapepool_%d_%s_%p_%t' ;

So here’s what it looks like:
